At long last, we are ready to begin our training for Checker Challengers. Once again, this is NOT training for Poll Workers but rather for those of you who will be in the polling places on behalf of candidates for the Primary Election and for the Republican Party during the General Election. We need Election Poll Challengers for Tuesday September 13th and Tuesday November 8th.
Sherry Jarrell, of the Voter Integrity Project is developing the curriculum. She has been intimately involved in this project for the past 18 months.
The dates for the training are: August 25th at 6 PM, August 27th 10 AM, and August 30th at 6 PM. You only need to attend one of these sessions. All training sessions will be located at Old Paths Church, 18295 Redden Road, Georgetown. Please send an email to: Sussexdegop@outlook.com. Please put Checker-Challenger Training in the Subject Line. We can accommodate a limited number in the GOP office so please make sure you register. If we find that we have more registrants than we can comfortably accommodate in the office, we will move the training to another location.
We are still short of the number we need to cover each polling place. If you know of any others who may be interested in helping us, please ask them to register for our training.
