Maryland Congressman to Hold Offshore Wind Hearing in Ocean City this Saturday

If you can make phone calls to our fellow Bethany Beach and South Bethany neighbors please email here . It makes a difference!

Hello Bethany Beach Resident,

My name is MP and I am your neighbor in the 38th district. The reason I am calling is ensure you are aware that the Bethany Beach and the South Bethany town councils will be voting soon on accepting money from the foreign-owned windfarm company, US Wind, in exchange for the town's promise to remain silent on any environmental or financial impact the wind turbines might have for 20 years! The towns are getting ready to vote to accept $100,00 per year, which is less than 1% of the town's annual income, in exchange for turning a blind eye to any damages caused for two decades. It's a bad deal and a bad contract.

If this concerns you, could you please send an email to the mayor and the town council members, and let them know how you feel about this vote? (See emails/town meeting info below).

If you would like to hear updates on the progress of this topic please subscribe to our e-Newsletter or email us at .

Please share this with your neighbors as well. Tell ten friends and ask them to tell ten friends. If you would like to be part of our phone calling network to get out the word, email us here and we will make it easy for you.

It's still cool to save the whales, let's not turn their paradise into an underwater parking lot.
