A Personal Message to Our 38th District Members - Stepping Down
Dear 38th District Members,
I am SO PROUD of what our 38th Members, EDCs, and Volunteers have been able to accomplish this election, despite many disappointments across the state and our nation. Big CONGRATULATIONS to YOU and your efforts getting our candidates elected. Congratulations Representative Carlie Carie, Senator Hocker, and Sussex County Councilman Doug Hudson! Thank YOU for running and for serving the good people of the 38th, Sussex County, and Delaware. You have our gratitude.
Personal Message - Stepping Down as Club President and RDC
With the 2026 general election behind us, I want to let you all know that I have decided to step down as President of the 38th District Republican Club, PAC, and as 38th Representative District Chair.
My sincere thanks to all our members and EDCs. Your dedication made the 38th District's success possible! Whether donating, fundraising, knocking on doors, making calls, or volunteering at the polls, you consistently stepped up whenever asked. I could not have asked for a more dedicated team, and I am truly grateful for all you have done!
I first attended a 38th Club meeting to learn about offshore wind, but it was the people I met who kept me involved. One of the first was Murph, whom I met while volunteering as a poll greeter at the Millville Fire Hall. We later became EDC partners. Murph, it's always a blast working with you! Even when things got tough, you were always there with encouragement and support. You'll always be my EDC partner! And Rose Mary, thank you for your friendship and support over the years.
I also owe a special thank you to Phil Drew, who was the first to ask me to become an EDC. Little did I know what he was getting me into!
I was fortunate to learn from those who came before me. Bob Lawless, thank you for generously sharing your knowledge and experience with such kindness and even-tempered guidance. Pat Procaccini, my predecessor as RDC, thank you for showing me the importance of standing up for what is right and never ignoring what is wrong, with integrity and fortitude. And Jim Costas, thank you for helping me navigate the responsibilities of being Club President.
And a special thank you to Tom Molnar. Tom, we stepped into our 38th leadership roles at the same time, and you were truly my co-president. I couldn't have asked for a better partner or Chairman of the Sussex County Republican Committee. Your integrity, friendship, and counsel have meant a great deal to me over the years. Sussex County Republicans are in great hands under your leadership!
I also want to personally thank Representative Ron Gray, Senator Gerald Hocker, and Sussex County Council President Doug Hudson. Thank you for the kindness and respect you have shown me, for welcoming my involvement, and for working closely with me to address the needs of our district. Your cooperation and willingness to listen have helped me better serve our entire community. I truly value our relationships and look forward to continuing our work together, along with our newly elected Representative Carlie Carey!
As I step down from these leadership positions, I want to thank you for the trust you placed in me as your President and RDC. I did my best to serve the 38th District well, learned a great deal, and am grateful for the friendships and experiences along the way.
