Recap CRI Offshore Wind Meeting and Prep for Presidential Primary Delaware

We had a GREAT turnout for our last meeting Monday 2/26/2024 with our guest speaker CRI Director, Dave Stevenson, giving us the latest updates regarding offshore windfarms. The Club also distributed 40 Stop the Offshore Windfarms yard signs and 120 postcards to mail to Governor Carney and beach town mayors. Thank you all for stepping up to get the word out about these windfarms in Bethany Beach and South Bethany and thank you for your kind donations toward funding this effort. If you would like to read more about what Dave Stevenson had to say, you can read more in the Coastal Point article here! You can purchase additional Stop the Offshore Windfarms yard signs and postcards here. Spread the word!

Senator Hocker also gave us the update on the lawsuit he filed against permanent absentee ballots and early voting for the General Election as unconstitutional. In addition the Republican caucus is proposing a Delaware constitutional amendment to allow early voting for the General Election to improve voting access.

Rep Gray updated the group on dredging and a possible bike path along double bridges road. For the full minutes, you may review Club minutes online at our Members Only webpage. Please email here for the Members Only password.

Presidential Primary in Delaware

The Presidential Primary in Delaware will be Tuesday, April 2nd. The polls will be open from 7am to 8pm at your regular polling location. The Republican Party is the only party with a contest for the 2024 Presidential Primary, with former President Donald Trump and Nikki Haley the only Republican candidates. There will not be a Democratic Presidential Primary in Delaware in 2024 as only President Joe Biden filed to appear on Delaware’s 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary ballot.

Traditionally, the Mighty 38th Republicans, come out in force to vote and also act as Patriotic Poll Greeters. 38th Poll Greeters are needed to show our patriotism, devotion to the voting process and fair elections, and to let other Republicans in our district know that there are others like them who want to make America great again. In the words of former President, Donald Trump: "America's comeback starts right now. When I left office, the United States stood ready for its golden age... Now we are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. For millions of Americans, the past two years under Joe Biden have been a time of pain, hardship, anxiety, and despair." - Donald Trump

Only registered Republicans may vote in the 2024 Presidential Primary Election. And since this is the case, this election is a golden opportunity to connect with other patriots in the 38th District. Therefore, we need YOU to be a Patriotic Poll Greeter on Tuesday, April 2. Greeters will have a 38th Club Tent, table, chairs, donuts and can hand out our 38th Club cards, tri-folds and smiles. Please volunteer to be a Patriot Poll Greeter on April 2, I guarantee you will enjoy it very much! Times are flexible!

Email info@38thdrcp.com to be a Patriotic Poll Greeter for the April 2 Presidential Primary.

Times are generally 8am-12pm, 12pm -4pm, 4pm - 7pm (sunset). If you can only commit a couple of hours, that is OK too, we still need YOU! And make sure you order your 38th Republican District or Republicans for Delaware T-shirt or hat here! The 38th District Republican Club receives $5 per T-shirt, thank you for your support!

There will be two locations for early voting in the 38th district, but you may vote at any early voting location in Sussex County.

If you are concerned that the fix is in, and that your vote won't count. There is one way to guarantee that your vote won't be stolen, and that is to vote! Even if you intend to vote in person, either early voting or on election day on April 2, things can come up, preventing you from making it out to the polls in person. One thing you can do, is to request an absentee ballot. You can utilize the absentee ballot to vote, or keep in your back pocket and go vote as planned, and then discard the absentee ballot. This way, NO ONE ELSE can harvest or steal your vote if you request that absentee ballot, and if the unplanned happens and you can't vote, just get that absentee ballot to the Department of Elections on election day and your vote WILL count!

Request an Absentee ballot here.

  • Absentee ballots will be sent starting in early March.

  • Check on the status of your absentee ballot using the State's Voter Portal.

  • Call the Department.

If you have any trouble requesting an absentee ballot or submitting your absentee ballot, contact the 38th Representative District Chair (RDC) here.
