Response from PETA Regarding Dead Whales

Here is the LAME response from PETA regarding the deceased whales washing up on the New Jersey shores. PETA is so woke they are morally broke!

Dear Michelle,

Thank you for contacting PETA with your concerns about the effect of developing wind farms on whales. Of course, we share your concern for animals who have been stranded and died.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has the authority to respond or coordinate a response to stranded animals under the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA). To respond to stranded marine mammals, volunteer stranding networks were established in all coastal states and are authorized through letters of authority from NMFS regional offices under the MMPA. Unauthorized organizations, including PETA, are not permitted to respond. For more information, please see https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/national/marine-life-distress/marine-mammal-health-and-stranding-response-program.

PETA does act to help marine mammals by opposing their capture and use in entertainment or displays and by informing people that the best way they can help whales and other sea animals is to stop eating fish. (38th Interject: really, humans should stop meeting our basic need for food and survival??) Indeed, experts with nonprofit stranding centers have noted that some of the whales washing up dead in New Jersey showed evidence that they had been struck by ships and/or entangled in fishing nets. (38th Interject: OH, so it's the fishermen's fault!! NOT the Windfarms and their damanging sonor harm!) Today’s commercial fishers use enormous nets—sometimes miles long—that stretch across the ocean and snare everything in their path. Factory trawlers are emptying the ocean at an alarming pace. Whales, seals, porpoises, and other marine mammals get tangled in nets and drown every year. To learn more about this issue, please go to https://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-food/factory-farming/fish/commercial-fishing/. For tips on going vegan, check out http://features.PETA.org/how-to-go-vegan/.

It’s also important to keep in mind that traditional fuel sources are often devastating to wildlife through habitat destruction, production of poisonous gases, and pollution. (38th Interject: yup, PETA is following the leftist socialist agenda to bring civilization to its end) In one of PETA’s historic victories, we persuaded Mobil, Texaco, Pennzoil, Shell, and other oil companies to cover their exhaust stacks after showing them that millions of birds and bats had become trapped in the shafts and been burned to death. PETA also called for criminal cruelty-to-animals charges against BP in the wake of the 2010 oil spill tragedy that devastated animals and their habitat in the Gulf of Mexico.

For more ideas about ways to help animals, please visit http://www.PETA.org/action/. To learn about PETA’s victories for wildlife, please see http://www.PETA.org/category/main-issues/wildlife/?post_type=victory. To make a donation to PETA, please go to http://www.PETA.org/donate.

Thanks again for contacting us and for everything that you do to help animals.

Sincerely,

Katherine Nunez
