Tuesday Primary Election Count Down!

Updated: Sep 9

The final voting day for the 2024 Primary Election is upon us and remember the Primary = Practice! If you are a Poll Worker, Challenger, Caller or other volunteer please check in if you haven't already, email me info@38thdrcp.com.

Republican Poll Workers

Your day begins at 6am and ends around 8pm when the polls close. We THANK YOU for your dedication to our election process, your Republican presence is a very important part of election integrity!! This is the first year that we have a significant Republican presence at the polls, as it is usually less than 10% and this year we have 60% participation in the Mighty 38th!! So THANK YOU for answering the call to be a Poll Worker!

Thank you Poll Workers!!

Please note, poll workers may not wear any party or candidate specific clothing or insignia. But you may wear red patriotic items, shirts, buttons etc. Ladies, you can wear red nail polish too! It is not a requirement to wear red as a republican, but I can say displaying your patriotic pride is the unsaid symbol of the Republican Party, so your patriotic display, even if small, will be reassuring to our Republican voters, and I encourage it.

Poll workers, if you see anything that concerns you, speak up and speak out! Contact your Republican Judge and Inspector as needed. Call out "Judge!" and don't be shy. Things to watch out for would be one poll worker going behind the curtain to help a voter make a selection. There must be two judges to aid a voter behind the voting curtain, never just one.

If a voter has a problem, please try to find a solution for them instead of turning them away. If they are at the wrong polling location, you have the ability to locate their correct polling location in your electronic poll book. You can even text them the address through the electronic poll book. If you can't help them, send them to the Help Desk. Don't let a voter turn away frustrated and risk them not voting.

Please try all of the available roles at some point, Clerk, polling booth greeter, entry greeter, help desk person and exit greeter. They all have value.

Poll workers, please pack a lunch and dinner, and snacks, you can bring food to share as well. If you want for anything, a jacket, water, snacks, please contact us at the War Room and we can make a delivery for you. 302-584-3216.

Polling Place Challengers

Challengers, you will need a Challenger Authorization Form. Please email me if you do not have one info@38thdrcp.com. You will need to print it, write in your name and bring it to the Polling Place Inspector. The Inspector will take your Challenger Authorization Form (and return to you when you leave), have you sign in, swear/affirm your oath as a Challenger and show you where you will be seated.

Challengers, you will have the flexibility to come and go and to go to more than one Polling location. I suggest you first start at your designated polling location, where you will be the most familiar with the voters in your precinct. We will have a list of names of voters who we may wish to Challenge. But even if you don't challenge any names, your Republican presence will be welcoming to the Republican Poll Workers and the Republican Voters who will see your Republican Challenger badge. You can let them know that our DE GOP Election Integrity Task Force has been busy behind the scenes, cleaning up the voter rolls for some time now, and making challenges. As a matter of fact, we challenged four Absentee Voters just this morning at the Sussex Department of Elections!

Challengers, please dress professionally, bring a clip board, paper, you may wear red and patriotic gear as well, but nothing party or candidate specific.

THANK YOU, Challengers!!

Poll Greeters

We would love to have a Republican Poll Greeter presence at every single polling location in the 38th. You should be a Poll Greeter at your regular polling location, where you will be familiar with the most voters in your precinct. You can set up chairs and a table, and have a sample Republican Ballot at the ready for any republican voter who would like to see one before entering the polls. Let them know about the 38th District Republican Club and have them leave their email or enter their email directly onto our Subscribe button right from your phone, so they can get updates on the 2024 election. Please bring pen and paper. Please email here if you will be at your polling location as a Greeter info@38thdrcp.com .

Poll Greeters, you may also take an exit poll, ask the voters if they wouldn't mind sharing who they voted for. They often do! And after you have 30 responses, please report to the War Room either info@38thdrcp.com or 302-584-3216.

Challengers, you may double as Poll Greeters after you leave the polls!

Being a Poll Greeter is fun!

Callers

On Tuesday, Primary Election Day, we will get the updated list of who has not voted yet four times during the day. Therefore we will be updating you with new call lists every few hours. We can email them to you or print a physical copy for you. You may make phone calls from the comfort of your own home, or come to our War Room. We will give you a Script, and goals for the call, namely a commitment to come out to vote. We can offer rides for anyone who needs one. We are trying to get our system down for the General Election. Remember, the Primary = Practice!

Drivers

Please be on standby, you can be stationed at our War Room on Primary Election Day, or await a call from us, where we may direct you to a 38th voter to bring them to their polling location and back. Please let me know the make and model of your vehicle if you can be a driver info@38thdrcp.com.

You don't need a red car to be a Poll Driver!

War Room Personnel

If you are available and you are not actively participating in one of the above duties at the time, please come by the 38th Republican District War Room. We will be directing any help needed, such as help with Poll Greeter tents, delivering signs to polling locations, printing Call To Vote lists and making phone calls. Please email if you can participate info@38thdrcp.com and I will provide you with the address.

OK, game on for Tuesday!!
