20th Rep. Stell Parker Selby Resigns - Special Election Will Be Held!!

Statement from the Sussex County Republican Chair on the Resignation of Representative Steele Parker Selby:


The Sussex County Republican Party acknowledges the June 24th resignation of Representative Steele Parker Selby from the 20th Representative District of Delaware.


While our political philosophies have often differed, we recognize Representative Selby’s long-standing commitment to public service. Over more than five decades, she served the people of Delaware with persistence and resolve.


Our thoughts remain with her during this time of transition and recovery. Among the 80,252 registered Republicans in Sussex County, there is broad respect for those who dedicate their lives to public service, regardless of party affiliation.


To know Representative Selby is to understand her deep connection to the community. We wish her strength and peace as she continues her journey forward, and we extend our continued prayers for her health and well-being.
