In a true display of neighborly spirit and community service, members of the 38th District and Southern Delaware Republican Club came together this November to collect and donate over 250 pounds of nonperishable food items to local pantries serving families in need across our district.
With the cost of groceries and household essentials continuing to rise, many Delaware families are feeling the pinch. Our members stepped up in a big way—filling donation boxes with canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and other essentials to help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry this holiday season.
The collection drive was organized in partnership with local churches and food distribution centers throughout the 38th District. Donations will go directly to pantries in Ocean View, Bethany Beach, and Frankford—supporting the very neighbors we live beside every day.
“During challenging economic times, it’s easy to forget how powerful small acts of giving can be,” said 38th Club Secretary Bob Wisgirda. “But our members have once again shown what it means to roll up their sleeves and lead with compassion. This is what our community is all about.”
The food drive is just one example of how the 38th District and Southern Delaware Republican Club continues to serve our neighbors—not only through political engagement, but through tangible acts of service that strengthen our local community.
As we move into the holiday season, we are reminded that giving back is at the heart of who we are. Thank you to every member who donated, volunteered, and helped make this effort a success. Together, we proved that when the 38th comes together, we make a real difference!
