Please plan to attend the monthly 38th District Republican Club meeting this Monday, March 25th, at the Salted Rim Restaurant in Millville, 35553 Atlantic Ave. We will hear from candidate for Governor, Jerry Price as well as the two candidates for the District 4 Indian River School Board position, Joshua Hudson and Anita West.
Meet-and-Greet begins at 6:00pm, but you may come earlier to order dinner, apps and drinks off the menu, and seating is at the tented area where the meeting will be held. We are appreciative to the Salted Rim for hosting our dinner meeting and we endorse supporting our local businesses!
We will also discuss the cancellation of the Presidential Primary, Delaware State Convention and the upcoming 2024 elections and current Delaware pending bills and passed laws that are wreaking havoc in our State.
Jerry Price
Gubernatorial Candidate
Jerry Price is a retired NYPD Police Officer and served in the city during 911. He moved to Delaware 20 years ago for what was supposed to be retirement, yet went onto serve on the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, and is now again retired.

Health insurance – having health insurance cover more of medical care, which Mr. Price has learned through firsthand personal experience.
Nursing Home Debt – address nursing home debts that can be accrued with families losing their entire savings.
Drug Crimes - Harsh penalties for drug smuggling in Delaware. Support drug addiction rehabilitation. Triple the amount of narcotic units in Delaware
Crime - Support having more officers on the street. Support Neighborhood Stabilization Units (NSU. Have more cameras on roadways coming into DE.
Schools - Encourage more opportunities for training in trades

Joshua Hudson
Indian River District 4 School Board Candidate
Joshua Hudson is a Game Warden with the Delaware Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police, rank of Captain. Josh grew up in the 38th District, raised in Roxana, and attended Lord Baltimore Elementary, Philliph Showell Middle School and graduated from Indian River High School. Josh earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a minor In Biology, from Salisbury University. Josh has two school age children and his wife, Melinda, is a schoolteacher in Sussex County.
Anita West Werner
Indian River District 4 School Board Candidate
Anita West-Werner is a United States Air Force C5 pilot and 737 United Airlines Captain. Anita grew up here in the 38th District, attended Lord Baltimore Elementary, Selbyville Middle School and Indian River High School. Anita has been married for 25 years and has two school age children currently attending the Indian River school system, with her son a sophomore at Indian River High School and her daughter an 8th grader at Selbyville Middle School.
Anita attended the University of Delaware and studied pre-veterinary medicine and also obtained a Master of Science degree in Homeland Security from Wilmington University.

State Legislative Report
1. HB 344 – to rotate party and candidate order on ballots. 15 States have already enacted. Democrat party is always listed first, by DE law.
2. HB 162 – Human Composting.
3. HB 286 – prevent insurance companies from requesting genetic testing. Watch the Movie: Gattaca re the possible future of genetic testing and eugenics.
4. HB 230 – protect practitioners of gender transformation treatments from lawsuits of malpractice. Defeated, but like Frankenstein, resurrected.
5. HB 346 – removed liability for medical personnel who provide gender transitioning treatments. Same legal protections provided to abortionists.
6. SB 2 - Permit to Purchase Bill requiring anyone who wishes to buy a handgun be fingerprinted, undergo required training, and obtain permission from the state and only valid for 2 years. At a cost of $7 million annually. Already defeated in Maryland as unconstitutional. DSSA to file a lawsuit.
