Sussex County Council Candidate Forum — September 29 - Doug Hudson
Please plan to attend this "Meet the Candidates" forum featuring our own Sussex County Councilman Doug Hudson, who will be challenged by the democratic opponent for his seat. This event is organized by the left-leaning League of Women Voters, and the moderators are registered Democrats. Please come out to show your support and hear about Doug Hudson's accomplishments, as well as the criticisms without solutions from the progressive, pro-offshore wind, pro-remove local control, socialist-Democrat candidate, who also organized the hypocritical No Kings rallies in our beloved Bethany Beach and Ocean View peaceful towns. We do NOT need NYC politics in Sussex County! (See candidate comparison chart below).
The League of Women Voters of Sussex County will hold its Sussex County Council District 4 Candidate Forum on Tuesday, September 29.

The forum will feature Sussex County Council President Doug Hudson, Republican, and Justine Cuccia, Democrat. Following brief opening statements, the candidates will answer questions submitted by the public.

This is a good opportunity to ask both candidates about issues directly affecting District 4, including growth and development, roads and infrastructure, wastewater, county spending, housing, land preservation and public safety.
About the Moderators
The moderators for the September 29 forum are Lynette Brown and Dr. Michele Warch.
Brown has been active with the League's Voter Services Committee, which conducts voter-registration and voter-education activities throughout Sussex County, of note, at area high schools as well as Delaware Technical Community College. The League's own Voter Services page specifically features Brown registering a new voter at Sussex Central High School.
Dr. Michele Warch also has a background in education and human services. She has served at Delaware Technical Community College's Owens Campus, including as dean of student affairs, and previously chaired its Human Services program.

District 4 covers Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Fenwick Island, Frankford, Long Neck, Millville, Oak Orchard, Ocean View, Selbyville and South Bethany.
Sussex County Council has authority over issues that have an immediate impact on residents, including county budgeting, land-use and development decisions, infrastructure and policies affecting the health, safety and welfare of county residents.
