Early Voting has begun and the Absentee ballots keep coming in, so now we will be tracking both! The democrats mastered the Mail-in-Ballots back in 2020 and have continued to show democrat dominance now in Absentee ballots, which democrats in Delaware have converted into their own Vote-by-Mail scheme. Republicans can cry fowl or they can jump in the game and play it, and play to win. Too many times I have heard local republicans tell me that they will come out to vote on Election Day, despite the convenience of Early Voting. Republicans believe they are being patriotic by voting on Election Day, and yes we all do want one-day-voting and paper ballots, but that is just not where we are right now. The game has changed and Republicans have got to change with it.
Our DE GOP Chair, Julianne Murray, supports early voting and our Election Integrity Task Force encourages that every Republican request an Absentee Ballot as a way to Bank Your Vote. One, in case something happens and you can't make it to the polls you can still get your ballot to the DOE to have your voted counted and Two, no one can steal your vote when you request that Absentee Ballot. The Election Integrity Task Force recommends you request your Absentee Ballot, keep it in your back pocket, and bring it to the poll with you. If you are told that you have already voted, you now have proof that you have not and that your ballot was stolen! Will Sussex Determine the Primary Election?
OK, back to the Early and Absentee voting results thus far. Looking at the Republican turn out only, despite there being more registered Republicans in New Castle and Kent counties, the majority of Republican voting has come from Sussex County, 58%! 28% of the Republican voter turn out is from NCC and 12% from Kent County. The 38th District alone accounts for 11% of the Republican voter turnout thus far. Watch out Kent County, the 38th District is getting ready to surpass you in voter turn out!
There is a saying in Delaware, that Sussex County determines who wins in the Primaries, and this is holding up to be true. Any Republican candidate would be wise to court Sussex Republicans if they would like to win the Primary Election.
Republican vs Democrat Voter Turnout
How is the Republican turn out compared to the democrats so far? Lousy.
As of 9/1/2025:
12,736 Democrats voters (72%)
4,795 Republican voters (27%)
This combines Absentee and Early Voting.
We have an "explanation" for this: the democrat races are more contested, there is a much bigger push to get out the democrat vote from the contested democrat races, blah, blah blah. Bottom line, Republicans need to come out to vote. So please continue to carry Absentee Ballot Request forms with you, tell your neighbors about Early Voting, and let them know that the game has changed and we need to change with it, Vote Early, Vote Now, Vote Republican!
Poll Greeter Help Needed
If you would like to volunteer to be a Poll Greeter for Early Voting at the Millville Community Center, all you need is a chair and a friendly Republican smile. If you are interested, and you would like a tent, then we can arrange to have one there. Ideally, we would like to man our Republican Poll Greeting tent daily while the polls are open, with an information table and a Sample Ballot. If you think you can participate in this way, please email info@38thdrcp.com, which dates and times you can be available.

Wednesday 9/4/2024 Preparing and Scanning of the Absentee Ballots #2
For this event, we will need Challengers. This is the second batch of Absentee Ballots that will be prepared, opened and scanned. We will have another list of Voters to challenge and it is the role of the Challengers to ensure that the DOE staff are adequately performing theirs.
Some of the processes we noticed at the last Opening of the Absentee Ballots seemed less than ideal and we are currently negotiating with the State and Sussex Directors of the Department of Elections as to correctness and adherence to the Delaware Code 15 that regulates Elections. I will fill in all our Challengers on the specific issues.
Please email info@38thdrcp.com if you can be Challenger on this day. There is no maximum quantity of Challengers as as per Delaware 15 Code, as we can have one Challenger per election district in Sussex County. For example, there are 14 Election Districts in just the 38th Representative District (RD), and we've got 10 RDs in Sussex. So that's a lot of Challengers!

38th Get Out The Vote War Chest
Dear 38th Representative District, we are at a critical junction in the saving of our Republic. We need an all hands on deck approach to wrestle back control of the state and country from the leftist Democrats.
Our 38th leadership team has established the following media plan to get out the vote.
1. Ads in the Coastal Point
2. Billboard ads strategically placed throughout the 38th district
3. Comprehensive media ad buys on platforms, such as Roku, Apple TV and Paramount that would hyper target Republican and Independent voters
4. GOTV texting initiative to target voters who have not yet voted.
5. Mailers sent as reminders for the need to GOTV.
The required investment to do this is quite large and many of you have been so generous to provide us the foundation. We are seeking additional donations as we are at a critical point in the US and Delaware politics. We have a real opportunity to turn Delaware red, and ensure that Republicans represent Delaware in the US Congress, the US Senate, and of course the Presidency.
Your help is needed and as you know our leftist Democrat competitors are getting funding from out of state.
We are 57% to our goal of $10,000.
Every dollar you donate will go a long way to saving this Republic. Donate Here.
Thank you,
Rick
38th Vice RDC
