Join the Mighty 38th for the Kentucky Derby at Salted Vines – Get Your Tickets by Monday, April 27


Please take a moment to purchase your tickets today, and no later than Monday, April 27.

That deadline is important, as we need to provide our caterer with a final headcount. Purchasing early truly helps us plan and execute the event smoothly. Tickets are $55 through April 27 and will increase to $65 afterward and at the door, so we encourage everyone to secure theirs in advance. Thank you—we appreciate it!


Volunteers Needed

We could also use a few helping hands. If you’re available to assist with registration or serve as a greeter, please email Margot and let us know. We would truly appreciate your help that evening.


Help Make Our Silent Auction Special

We are also putting together our silent auction and would truly appreciate contributions from our members. If you have any patriotic or Derby-themed items you would like to donate, please email us in advance and/or bring them with you to the event. If you need to arrange an early drop-off, just reach out to Rick.

An Evening of Derby Style and Community (Listen to WGMD ad!)

The evening begins with a wine reception and tasting at 5:00 PM in the famous Salted Vines Tank Room. From there, we’ll gather for the main event as we watch the Kentucky Derby together.

Your ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine, appetizers and desserts, and access to discounted beverages throughout the evening. We will also have our Derby Draw, prizes, and all of the Derby traditions.


We will also host our Derby Hat Walk, where guests can show off their style and take part in our Derby contests. Prizes include restaurant gift certificates, a boat ride, and of course a bottle of Kentucky bourbon (delivered off premises).


We’re honored to have many of our sitting representatives in attendance, along with candidates running for local, county, and statewide offices. This is a great opportunity to meet them, support them, and build momentum heading into campaign season.


Our current representatives—Gerald Hocker, Ron Gray, and Doug Hudson—will also serve as judges for the Hat Walk and our Best Overall Men’s and Women’s Derby Ensembles, so it’s time to start planning your outfit.



So join the Mighty 38th and the Southern Delaware Republican Club for a festive Kentucky Derby celebration at Salted Vines Vineyard and Winery on Saturday, May 2 from 5:00–8:00 PM. This event is open to the public, so bring your friends, neighbors, and family.


Salted Vines, located at 32512 Road 374 in Frankford, is a true local gem. If you have not been, you will love it. The setting is rustic and relaxed, the wine is excellent, and it is the perfect backdrop for a fun, high-energy evening with our Republican community.


Please get your tickets now, and no later than Monday, April 27 to help us out with logistics.
